This kit was designed to simplify the throttle cable assembly on 94-98 p-pump 12 valve trucks. This kit is designed to visually improve the engine compartment by reducing clutter while drastically reducing the complexity of the 12 valve throttle linkage assembly. It utilizes the stock 12 valve cable from the accelerator pedal to the engine but replaces all the brackets and rods on the side of the injection pump. It is designed for race applications. The cruise control cable mounting point is relocated into this bracket and can be modified to work on manual transmission trucks. The vacuum can which is typically located under the driver side battery needs to be moved in order for the cruise cable to reach the throttle bracket. You also need to reuse the ball end that the stock cable attaches to in order t retain cruise control. This is because the back side of the factory "ball end" has the connection point for the cruise control cable. If you plan on running this with an automatic transmission you must have a constant pressure valvebody. We make a kit to securely and safely, manually adjust the TV arm on the transmission.
This kit is made out of high quality steel and powder coated to prevent corrosion or rusting. The arm itself is stainless steel and can be polished to a near mirror finish.
This kit also comes with an upper hole designed to be used as a mechanical fuel kill commonly used in race/pulling applications or on trucks running minimal wiring and electronics.
This bracket bolts over the motor mount for trucks utilizing the factory style motor mounts. All 3 motor mount bolts on the driver side need to be removed and replaced with the bolts provided in the kit. The provided washers go between the motor mount and bracket to give the bracket a flat mounting surface.
