In 4wd racing torque steer is extremely common. With our Dana 60 Rack and Pinion Mount this can be eliminated. While this is a labor intensive process, we have made it much easier by eliminating the guess work as to where the steering rack should be. This kit is to use a 1999-2006 2wd Chevy steering rack. We use these due to their light weight, very durable design, and very large aftermarket support since they are a very common steering rack for off road racing/ pre runner trucks.
We also include the the frame side trac bar brackets. With a rack and pinion the trac bar doesn't need to be mounted from the driver side frame rail. To give you more clearance we mount the trac bar from the passenger side frame rail. On the axle side you use one of the rack mounting bolts.
